“That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;” Colossians 1:10

God is pleased when you are fruitful in every good work, that is what he wants for you and the Bible tells us: “For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.” Philippians 2:13

So he is working in you, influencing your desires and your actions to ensure you are fruitful, because that is what Jesus expects and sanctified you unto: “Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain…” John 15:16 But he also expects that daily you are increasing in your knowledge of him, you cannot be fruitful as God desires absent of a consistent fellowship with him. He is the one to beautify your life and to beautify every situation:

“By his spirit he hath garnished the heavens…” Job 26:13 That situation that seems like an avid wilderness, with him, it becomes a fruitful field, meaning he can make you fruitful in the most stubborn circumstances:

“Until the spirit be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness be a fruitful field, and the fruitful field be counted for a forest.” Isaiah 32:15

God is not an idol or a machine that all you have to do is to press some button or say some buzzwords and he does what you please- he is Lord and he the lover of your soul. Recognize this.
