“For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication:” 1 Thessalonians 4:3
Look at that! God’s will is that you abstain from fornication; abstaining from fornication would mean deliberately keeping away from anything that has to do with fornication- the songs and movies that express or portray fornication, words and jokes that do the same and the very act of fornication itself.
“Abstain from all appearance of evil.” 1 Thessalonians 5:22
Because you want to live your life to the will of God, you abstain from fornication.
Jesus prayed to the father:
“Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am…” John 17:24
And he got his answer; we are seated with him in heavenly places, having received his life; this means we can follow his steps as is expected of us and walk as he walked on the earth:
“He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.” 1 John 2:6
He did no sin; he did not fornicate; his life was an expression of the will of God- our lives should be too:
“…Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: 22 Who did no sin…” 1 Peter 2:21-22
