“Finally, brethren, pray for us… that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith.” 2 Thessalonians 3:1-2
God also expects that you pray for the protection of the ministers of the gospel, the Bible tells us we are laborers and workers together with God, 2 Corinthians 6:1.
He makes clear your responsibility, if you don’t pray, ministers of the gospel that still have so much to give might exit the earth quicker than they ought with no losses incurred to them because after all: “…to be with Christ… is far better:” Philippians 1:23
But to the church and the many more they would have reached and transformed with the gospel. Remember James was killed by a wicked and unreasonable king, who had similar plans for Apostle Peter: “…but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him.” Acts 12:5
