“and for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel… that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.” Ephesians 6:19-20
God expects you to pray for the ministers of the gospel that they open their mouth boldly to preach the gospel, because they could face very intimidating situation with threats to their life or their families but that’s why he asks that you pray, and as you pray they are strengthened and emboldened to preach the gospel AS THEY OUGHT TO SPEAK.
Make no mistakes that there could arise situations where ministers get so intimidated that they begin to act contrary to the gospel, it happened before:
“And so, because of Peter’s hypocrisy, many other Jewish believers followed suit, refusing to eat with gentile believers. Even Barnabas was led astray by their hypocritical behavior!” Galatians 2:13 TPT
It can happen again, but when you pray for God’s ministers, they’d remain consistent and steadfast in the truth that they have received and minister the same.
