If God asks you to pray, then your prayer is important and necessary for him to change circumstances, remember he had told Elijah- after the drought that lasted three and half years- that it was time for rain:
“And it came to pass after many days, that the word of the LORD came to Elijah in the third year, saying, Go, shew thyself unto Ahab; and I will send rain upon the earth.” ‭‭1 Kings‬ ‭18‬:‭1‬
So he was ready to put an end to the drought, but even if he wanted the situation of the nation to change, nothing happened until Elijah prayed:
“…And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; and he cast himself down upon the earth, and put his face between his knees,” 1 Kings‬ ‭18‬:‭42‬ (see also, James 5:18)
So God has desires, there are changes he wants happening, there are ministers of the gospel in some parts of the world that require the deliverance that can only come from God, but he needs you to pray and so don’t be lazy, don’t procrastinate- get up and pray as he expects.
