“praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;”
Ephesians 6:18 KJV
The Bible tells us:
“Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body.” Hebrews 13:3
Remember believers in prison or held captive against their will because of the gospel— don’t forget them. He expects you to be so conscious of them because they are members of the body and their affliction is the body’s affliction.
It’s easier for you who are not in the midst of such affliction to pray with vigour for those in bonds. You pray that they receive quick deliverance:
“But I trust in the Lord that I also myself shall come shortly.” Philippians 2:24 (Remember the Apostle was in prison when he wrote this)
You pray that they remain joyful with their hearts fully set on God’s word that admonished us:
“My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;” James 1:2
