“I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.”
John 17:4

Purpose gives focus and deters distractions, purpose would cause you to soar above challenges into God’s perfect will for your life. Learn from Jesus, he made clear that he came to the earth to do God’s will: John 6:38.
And he walked on the earth conscious that he was sent: “But I know him: for I am from him, and he hath sent me.” John 7:29
“…I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.” John 8:42
And so even when he had a will that seemed different from God’s, because he was a man of purpose, he submitted himself to God’s purpose for his life as he prayed:
“Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.” Luke 22:42
And after prayer, even when he had the opportunity to escape God’s plan:
“As soon then as he had said unto them, I am he, they went backward, and fell to the ground” read John 18:3-8
He remained. He had prayed, he had been strengthened:
“And he was withdrawn from them about a stone’s cast, and kneeled down, and prayed.. And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him.” Luke 22:41-43
This is what prayer can do for you!
