“To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:” Romans 2:7

He could have saved us and left us in a state where we continually revel in our former weaknesses, shortcomings and sinfulness, but that’s not what he did, he so loved us and we were so valuable to him, see how he washed us from our sins:
“…Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,” Revelation 1:5
He used his own blood! Amazing!!
And he didn’t stop there:
“And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father…” Revelation 1:6
He washed us from our sins and made us kings! Such a reflection of this verse:
“He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory…” 1 Samuel 2:8
It is true that we were poor wretched sinners, but something changed when we believed the gospel- a new creation became; and that new creation is a saint; a child of God; a king with an inheritance! 2 Corinthians 5:17.
“Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.” Galatians 4:7
