“To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:” Romans 2:7

The Bible tells us:
“The poor useth intreaties; but the rich answereth roughly.” Proverbs 18:23
He speaks roughly because asides from life, he can afford anything he wants, (Ecclesiastes 7:12) see this:
“…money answereth all things.” Ecclesiastes 10:19
And so for a God who said this about himself:
“Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool…” Acts 7:49
To choose us- then there must be something special about us, he calls us not just chosen but peculiar:
“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people…” 1 Peter 2:9
And it is all the out-workings of his grace:
“For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men… Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.” Titus 2:11-14
Recognizing the grace of God in your life is recognizing what that grace did for you and speaking and living accordingly; see what he expects of your expressions:
“…so that you may proclaim the excellencies [the wonderful deeds and virtues and perfections] of Him” 1 Peter 2:9, Amplified Bible.
