“To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:” (Galatians 1:16)
All who prepare, find themselves in the word. It happened with John the Baptist:
“He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Esaias.” John 1:23
It happened with Jesus:
“Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.” Hebrews 10:7, see also Luke 4:18, Luke 24:27.
It happened with Paul: Romans 16:25-26
It should happen with you, David said:
“I am a stranger in the earth: hide not thy commandments from me.” Psalms 119:19
He knew there was no right path for him outside God’s word, as a stranger on the earth, it wasn’t for him to waste time with men who were still searching or with frivolities, he knew what he required— the word:
“Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.” Psalms 119:133
The bible tells us we are pilgrims, strangers and with his word, we conduct ourselves:
“Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;” 1 Peter 2:11
