“Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,”
Ephesians 3:20
God is powerful and he made it clear through the word of God that he wants his children to have power; just as powerful, so he came himself as the Holy Ghost to dwell in them. Jesus emphasized to the disciples, the importance of receiving power before they began any serious work on the earth:
“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you…” Act 1:8
That same power that was necessary to win souls was his means of giving us what we desired in our lives.
Power is the ability to effect changes; changes in the lives of men, changes in your own life- changes in your body, changes in your thoughts, changes in your purse, changes in your results!
The provisions you desire- the quantity and quality, are no longer resident in the hands of God but inside of you! God says, whatever you desire, I can do more according to the power at work in you! Your response should be to begin to focus on increasing the intensity of that power:
“He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself…” 1Corinthians 14:4
He that speaks in an unknown tongue edifies; charges himself- he makes tremendous power available! So just as we know that what you desire (and even more) is based on the power at work in you, it is also based on the way you use your mouth; instead of complaining with your mouth, charge yourself up!
