“Let them praise his name in the dance: Let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp.” Psalm 149:3
Dance! Dance in praise to his name not because you feel good or like the sound of the music. Sing praises unto him with instruments, so even if the instrument sound seem so excellent, your heart should be set on him and your singing and dancing in praise to his holy name. Isn’t it amazing that God wants you to dance? He said ‘praise his name in the dance’ for a reason:
“For the LORD taketh pleasure in his people…” Psalm 149:4
In simple terms, because he likes you, everything about you and all that you do in and for his name! And he doesn’t stop there, he says:
“…He will beautify the meek with salvation.” Psalm 149:4. So instead of feeling too big or important to disgrace yourself for the Lord, sing and dance unto him in humility and meekness.
