“For as touching the ministering to the saints, it is superfluous for me to write to you: for I know the forwardness of your mind… and your zeal hath provoked very many.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭9‬:‭1‬-‭2‬

In 2 Corinthians 9:6, it is amazing to note that the Apostle applies the foundational concept of sowing and reaping (Genesis 8:22) to giving- he makes it clear that the one who gives bountifully would reap same and likewise for the one who gives sparingly, and so he encourages giving without sparing- knowing you’d be rewarded and enabled to give even more. The Bible says:
“Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;)” ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭9‬:‭10‬
He didn’t give seed to a man to make him sow, the man was already a sower- he was ready in his mind to sow or he had sown before and so God gives him seed to sow even more. Knowing that when a seed is sown, it produces fruit to be eaten and more seed to be sown, the one who sows would always be better off than the one who just eats (Isaiah 55:10b). Be the man who sows- do so because of God’s word and walk continuously in a bountiful harvest.
