“Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.”
Philippians 3:15

“When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.” 1Corinthians 13:11
He gives us what to look out for, and how we can measure and ascertain for ourselves that we are growing;
What we say- when you grow up, the things you say and how you say them would have to change just like when a baby grows up, he begins to learn that “ga ga goo goo”, even though it made mummy and daddy happy, is not a sensible means of communication, they might have brought him food when he was hungry, put him to bed when he was tired, all through his repeating that one line, but as he grows, he would learn there are different and better ways to communicate clearly and get what he wants.
“…If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.” James 3:2
He would not offend in the word- his speech would be consistent with the word of God, he would realize that just as “ga ga goo” was not accurate enough to describe his hunger, “everybody gets sick”, “life is up and down” is not accurate enough to describe his health and sojourn in life!
