“And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;”  
Mark 16:17

The main verse clearly shows God’s expectations of you- he’s not expressing you to be oppressed or afflicted by a devil that has been paralyzed!
“…that through death he might bring to nought him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;”  Hebrews 2:14, CEV

All authority has been given you, vested in his name. He said IN HIS NAME you should cast out devils.
He also said:
“They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.”  Mark 16:18
No deadly thing when it enters your system can hurt you! No wonder the next line reads “…lay hands on the sick”, even that which is contagious have no effect anymore, if peradventure it enters your system and is deadly, it shall not hurt you.
So what happens when a Christian thinks he is hurt by that disease? Except Jesus is lying; he says the Christian not being hurt by that which is deadly is an offshoot if the surety of his salvation.
“He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.”  Mark 16:16
In simple words, any Christian who isn’t going to be damned or going to hell has no business being hurt on earth.
Not by sniper, not by a virus.
There are no conditions- knowingly or knowingly consuming deadly things would have no effect. Never let satan blame you with the ‘knowingly’ conditional word, Jesus never mentioned!
