“Jesus therefore, knowing all things that should come upon him, went forth, and said unto them, Whom seek ye?” John 18:4
What’s remarkable is that as he prayed he knew where to be, he got direction as he took out time pray. It’s one thing to know what the word has said, it’s another to be resolute about doing the word of God even when things get remarkably unpleasant, but Jesus already taught us to win:
“…What, could ye not watch with me one hour? Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation…”Matthew 26:40-41
Pray! Learn to pray, he had earlier taught in Luke 18:1-8 that men are supposed to pray and not stop!
Don’t give up, don’t stop- pray! In prayer, you receive strength:
“And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him.” Luke 22:43
In prayer, your own ideas, dispositions and at times concerns easily give way for God’s own as they did for Jesus: Luke 22:42
Prayer is so important in strengthening you to insist on God’s word no matter what happens.
