“He that trusteth in his riches shall fall: but the righteous shall flourish as a branch.”
Proverbs 11:28

The Bible says:
“My son, give me thine heart, and let thine eyes observe my ways.” Proverbs 23:26
He wants your heart and he demands that you love him with all of it:
“And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart…” Mark 12:29-30
He also said:
“Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words… He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings…” (John 14:23-24)
This means he expects that you keep his sayings with all your heart.
Isn’t it amazing that he narrows your love for him to the type of words you listen to and embrace as priority in your life?
If you love him, it doesn’t matter who’s talking or who said anything, what would be most important to you and would guide your decisions in life would be what he said, and the Bible tells us:
“…he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.” Hebrews 13:5-6
So trust him! Let your heart and trust be found in him and his word, not in your calculations or the dispositions of men.
