Because you share in his purpose:
“…He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son [and ultimately share in His complete sanctification]…” Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭29‬ ‭Amplified Bible
Then you must share in his pursuits and passion- he was zealous about doing God wanted him to do: John 9:4
And you are admonished to be just as zealous:
“Never flag in zeal, be aglow with the Spirit, serve the Lord.” Romans‬ ‭12‬:‭11‬ ‭RSV‬‬
He was determined to live by the word of God- Hebrews 10:7, John 5:19,30.
Be determined to live by the word of God, and just like we see various instances where through separation and prayer he found out God’s purpose for his future:
“…Jesus took Peter, John, and James with him and went up a hill to pray. Suddenly two men were there talking with him. They were Moses and Elijah, who appeared in heavenly glory and talked with Jesus about the way in which he would soon fulfil God’s purpose by dying in Jerusalem.” Luke‬ ‭9‬:‭28‬, ‭30‬-‭31‬ ‭GNBUK‬‬
Same way, through separation and prayer you should plan to enter the new year, walking in God’s purpose for your future.
