“While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.”
2 Corinthians 4:18

The other option to walking by faith isn’t palatable and shouldn’t be sought after by any child of God, because the Bible already tells us:
“For to be carnally minded is death…” Romans 8:6
“So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.” Romans 8:8
And if you aren’t walking by faith, it means you make decisions based on what you perceive with your carnal senses, sense that can easily be manipulated or influenced negatively!
“(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)” 2 Corinthians 5:7
Walking by faith is simply finding out how God expects you to live your life in his word and living accordingly even when you have so many more compelling reasons to do otherwise.
Always remember- all of those compelling reasons would only lead you towards one path- regret, but for those who rely solely on God’s word, this is the promise: 1 Peter 2:6
