“The Father loves me because I give my life…”
John 10:17, ERV

In the main verse, Jesus tells us the reason God loved him was because he was going to give his life for the world- his selfless sacrifice was very appealing to God, he wasn’t being forced or coerced to, God loved him because he willingly gave himself for others:
“No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself…” John 10:18
No wonder the Bible tells us:
“He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.” 1 John 4:8
Isn’t it amazing that this is the real one true God? It wasn’t Jesus’ vengefulness to show mere mortals that he was all powerful that was so impressive to God but that even with all of that power, he was selflessly kind to even his detractors!
The one who really knows God, would live the kind of life the one who is one with him (John 10:30) lived on the earth.
