“And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.”
Ephesians 5:2
Jesus lives in you so he can accomplish his purposes through you. You are to make him and his love known to others by the way you live your life and the way you relate with God and with men:
2Co 5:15 KJV And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.
There is no greater expression of love towards others than God’s expression of his love towards them in sending his son to die for them (so they wouldn’t have to perish) and to give them eternal life. This is where love begins- giving men the opportunity to hear the gospel and to receive eternal life, irrespective of your previous experiences; forge ahead in love and continue preaching to others. You know, Jesus was rejected- not once nor twice but quite a number of times, at times very violently;
Luke 4:28-30, Mark 5:16-17, Mark 6:1-3, John 8:59, John 10:31-32,39, Matthew 27:21-24
That didn’t stop him from preaching, his love for people caused him to continue, and you know what? Many others listened and believed him. If you love people, firstly, you would share the gospel with them- every other expression would be a distant second to that which is most important; their hearing and receiving the gospel.
