“Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.”
2 Timothy 3:12

While you are ridiculed or spoken against because of the name of Jesus and your participation in his name, your response should be boldness, you should be unperturbed and you should be full of love:
“But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you” Matthew 5:44
If you have to consider those who are against you, it should be in prayer, the bible tells us:
“He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.” 1 John 2:6
So it is possible to walk as he walked; when he was about be arrested, he healed the ear of one of the officers, he is God himself, and yet didn’t consider the officer’s ear being chopped of as a validation of who he was:
“And one of them smote the servant of the high priest, and cut off his right ear. And Jesus answered and said, Suffer ye thus far. And he touched his ear, and healed him.” Luke 22:50-51
The bible says:
“God is love”, and the expressions of love are a validation of who God is:
“…God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.” 1 John 4:16
On that cross, he didn’t pray for vengeance but for forgiveness:
“Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do…” Luke 23:34
We are so blessed that he is the real God and even more wonderful, he expects us to be like him- so, be!
