“Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.”
2 Timothy 3:12

When you got born again, Christ became your sanctification, you are identified in union with Christ and this reality should influence your choices in life, as such, you can’t be found in certain places, saying or doing certain things, it’s a call to holiness:
“But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us… sanctification…” 1 Corinthians 1:30
Jesus had said:
“For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.” John 3:20
When you come to light, your deeds are exposed by the light and God expects you to walk in his light, it is a call to fellowship:
“But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another…” 1 John 1:7
As you walk in the light of God’s word, there would be oppositions, infact you might find yourself in the midst of a division because of your walk of faith, it should come as no surprise to you:
“Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division: For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three.” Luke 12:51-52
The main verse says if you will godly, the you should suffer persecution, people could mock your choices in life or try to belittle you- don’t care! As long as you are walking in the word, you are in the best place, always remember, you are the light of the world!
