Jesus died so that through his death, he might destroy him that had the power of death, he had a two point agenda, to paralyze the devil, and to deliver those who are subject to bondage. This means people can be subject to bondage through the fear of death – once you get a man to be afraid for his life, he becomes a slave, he can be controlled, he no longer asks questions.
