“For it is written, “Rejoice, you childless woman, who cannot give birth to any children! Break into song and shout, you who feel no pains of childbirth! For the children of the deserted woman are more numerous than the children of the woman who has a husband.””
Galatians 4:27

While we express our great gratitude to God for the awesomeness of his word and the wisdom provided for us in the main verse- rejoicing in songs and shouts of victory is the extra resource required to change a desolate situation to a fruitful one- we are given another awesome divine instruction:
“My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;”  James 1:2
There is a popular song: “count your blessings, name them one by one, and it will surprise you what the Lord has done”, that song tells you to look back to what God has done and realize that he has done so much for you! So true and so important!!
The verse above, tells you something a bit different but really remarkable, he says when you fall into diverse temptation, when you are faced with challenges, don’t wait for it to pass before you count it, he says, right there, count it and name it joy!
Can this be your consciousness? When you are faced with that financial difficulty, your disciplined expression based on the word of God is ‘joy’? Instead of ‘I’m going through some tough times right now’, you say ‘I’m basking in joy unspeakable and full of glory!!’
It’s an instruction, you might not like the way it feels the first few times you practice it because you’ve been taught to complain when challenges come, but by experience, you should know complaining does nothing, so why not try God’s method- the best method!
Count it joy. When things are so smooth and wonderful? Joy! When those challenges come? Joy! You always win!
