“that ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭2‬:‭15‬

God knows the world is crooked and perverse with morals that reflect such, but he expects you to shine as light. Why? Because there are people who might not even be aware that they are in darkness, the darkness has blinded their eyes:
“…is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.” ‭‭1 John‬ ‭2‬:‭11‬
When you shine, it becomes clear what is right, godly and what they truly desire and they gravitate to your light.
There is a life in you, that IS the light of men that you ought to live and communicate-
“In him was life; and the life was the light of men.”‭‭John‬ ‭1‬:‭4‬
Never be ashamed. If you find yourself in a dark place- then it’s time to shine!
