“Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.”
2 Timothy 1:13

Whatever you hear from the word of God and decide to keep in the midst of your heart should cause expressions of love; expressions of the Lord Jesus. He talked about himself:
“Place my yoke on you and learn from me, because I am gentle and humble…” Matthew 11:29, ISV
And God is love, after all. See what love is:
“Love is always patient; love is always kind; love is never envious or arrogant with pride. Nor is she conceited,” 1 Corinthians 13:14, ISV
He told us it matters how you hear- when the word comes to you, decide that you would let patience have her perfect work because love is patient, decide that you would be kind towards others based on what you’ve heard because love is kind.
God is kind, God is longsuffering and the word you hear should cause you to imitate God as his child and walk as Jesus walked.
“So be imitators of God, as his dear children. Live lovingly, just as the Messiah also loved us…” Ephesians 5:1-2, ISV
Make a decision today; hold fast the form of sound words you hear in faith and love. Go ahead and live a productive and purposeful life in Christ.
