“Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.” John 14:17

In his prayer to God, Jesus made clear that we were different from the world even though we are presently on the earth: John 17:16.
This difference is important because of who we are, what we can relate and contemplate with as children of God.
“Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not…” John 14:17
The world cannot receive the Holy Spirit, even though he is very real because they are limited to their five senses.
How sad! This great Spirit of God that created the world and beautified the heavens remains alien to them but not to us.
So recognizing and insisting on your difference from the world isn’t just a fancy acknowledgment but can influence the kind of life you live and your experience of life- guided, clear and beautiful because the one who can make all these happen for you isn’t alien to you.
