“Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.” John 14:17

Jesus made clear a very distinct point to note about the world is that they walk by their senses and so are limited, but not us:
“(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)” 2 Corinthians 5:7
This means it is totally fitting that they do not understand our expressions of faith and even go ahead to mock us. Never fret, unbelievers mocked Jesus too:
“And they laughed him to scorn…” (Mark 5:40)
They would mock our aspirations for the future, because the one who shows us things to come; they cannot receive:
“Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come… he will shew you things to come.” John 16:13
Especially when there is a seeming delay, but the Bible says:
“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” Galatians 6:9
What can be better than doing the word?
“Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:” Matthew 7:24
