“And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ.”
1 Corinthians 3:1
Growth is so important; irrespective of God’s word to you and his purpose for your life, you must grow- seek to grow and set out time for your growth. Look at John the Baptist:
“And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, and was in the deserts till the day of his shewing unto Israel.” Luke 1:80
Look at Jesus:
“And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the grace of God was upon him.” Luke 2:40
He expects you to know the word, do the word and teach the word also:
“For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.” Hebrews 5:12-13
For this to happen, you must be deliberate about your progress in your knowledge of God’s word and your doing God’s word- set specific times in the day and specific periods in the year to measure and make progress in your walk with God.
