God’s word- prioritizing, emphasizing and walking in union with God’s word would give you eternal relevance. How did the men of old secure such eternal relevance that we still reference their thoughts and actions in the Bible? They revered God’s word. Psalm 119 gives you an inside look of King David’s thoughts about the word of God and see the resulting eternal memorial:
“I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.”
Revelation 22:16
What’s more? Psalm 119 was a song; it takes some fellowship to write a song with that many verses, all just about the word of God. Can God’s word be your sole expression and your song? It should:
“Thy statutes have been my songs In the house of my pilgrimage.” Psalm 119:54
Then you will be continually filled with the Spirit:
“…be filled with the Spirit; speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;” Ephesians 5:18-19
