“But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.”  
1John 1:7

This is the reason for the word of God, with the word of God you can judge confidently every situation and respond exactly the way God would respond.
His desire is union with you. He already lives in you, and he plans to walk in you- live his life through you.
“…for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.”  2Corinthians 6:16
What’s left is your mind- renewing your mind with the word of God:
“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”  Romans 12:2
You grew up on the earth learning everything- how to talk, what to say, how to react and how to respond- from other people. All of your mannerisms, you learnt from others; and they were not perfect.
But now you have the maker of perfection himself telling you to copy him- because you can.
“Be imitators of God in everything you do…”  Ephesians 5:1, TPT
Take the word of God and observe how he talked, and talk the same! Glory!
He is moving you from standing in awe of something he did to doing exactly what he did; that is his utmost desire:
“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also…”  John 14:12
