“For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.”
1 Corinthians 14:2

Jesus, at the tomb of Lazarus, made some profound statements, that when we analyze, we would learn a lot about how he thought:
“…And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me. And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me.” John 11:41-42
Interestingly, when he arrived close to Bethany, there was no account where he said anything to God, he talked with Martha, he talked with Mary, but we didn’t hear him talk to God. Whatever the father might have heard him say, would definitely have to do with his presence at the tomb and his expectations. He planned to raise Lazarus from the dead; he planned to call the man back to life, he had said earlier before he travelled, while Lazarus was still alive:
“…This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby.”  John 11:4
This is what he said, and he mentioned that when he said it, he KNEW God heard him, he was aware that he wasn’t just talking into the air, God heard him, so even when Lazarus died, he didn’t change his confession or question God, he knew God heard him the first time:
“And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.”  1 John 5:15
When he heard Lazarus had been dead for four days, he still kept his knowledge at the front and ignored his observation; while he observed that the situation seemed impossible, he knew God heard him and so he had his desire already.
When you talk to God, know he has heard you and stick to that knowledge; let that knowledge and not your observation guide your communications. He has heard you concerning that job, healing, opportunity- know it and don’t stagger!
