Hallelujah! Hallelujah!! Hallelujah!!!

We had such a glorious Thanksgiving service on Sunday, it has been an awesome year and we are full of gratitude to God for all he has done so far and for all that he will do.

Pastor took a few minutes to exhort us from the word before the thanksgiving session, beginning from 1 John 5:13-15, we came to the understanding that all that is required for us to receive our desires from God is to have him hear us and what we need to get God to hear us is to ask according to his will, from that same portion of scripture, Pastor showed us that praying according to his will means asking in the name of Jesus, the Apostle John repeated this same message in John 16:23-24 where he quoted the words of Jesus saying we would be given anything we ask in his name. Pastor then taught us God’s will for us in every situation, in 1 Thessalonians 5:18, we are instructed to give thanks in every thing, you only ask someone to thank you when you have done something for that person and so God instructs us to give thanks in everything because he knows all things and no matter what the situation is, he has done something about it, he has sorted it out already and so he says, give thanks. Praise God!

The service ended with Pastor making calls for thanksgiving, we thanked God for the past, present and the future; for our families, for health, for protection, for our education, jobs and careers and for the new level we were entering even as we gave thanks, it was a glorious time of dancing, singing, rejoicing and giving thanks. Glory to God!
