“And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:”
1Corinthians 1:28
Just like God relates tangibly with that which is invisible and centers his plans and purposes on simply the word he has spoken, so should you!
We are being taught where to set our gaze in life- focus on the invisible; in that arena of the unseen, you must have spoken words concerning your life that you ought to focus on despite the seeming pressure of that which is seen around you.
The Bible says:
“By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible.” Hebrews 11:27
Moses, endured, seeing him who is invisible. What would cause you to endure the present mockery or challenges you might face from friends and relatives, the invisible words you have spoken, that is real to you even if it unreal to them!
“There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.” 1Corinthians 10:13
He tells us challenges and temptations are sure to come, and there is nothing you might face that is not common to man (in other words, challenges are common to man), but he says with the temptation is a way TO ESCAPE. God’s idea of escape is not to take the challenge away, but that YOU MAY BE ABLE TO BEAR IT- endure it!
And what he gives you to enable you endure it, is the word that might be invisible to others but very real to you!
