“But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.”
1 Peter 4:7
“As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God… if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth…” 1 Peter 4:11
The end of all things is at hand, whatever you find yourself doing for the lord, whichever service you are rendering for the Lord and in his house, he says do it in a way that when people see it, they would know only God’s ability could have wrought such a service.
He makes it obvious that God has given you the ability you require to minister with excellence and consistency, now use that ability to the full because the time is short.
“Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching; Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.” Romans 12:6-8
If you’ve prophesied before, do so even more not below but according to the proportion of faith; why prophesy to win two souls or receive two thousand naira when your faith can do more.
Be ready to minister always, teach with passion and excellence by the Spirit, don’t stop giving, give with simplicity (‘haplotes’- sincerity, generosity and bountifulness), be a diligent (responsible, accountable and excellent) leader, be kind and show mercy to others (not because, ‘if not for God’ but) with cheerfulness!
Get ready to leave this world; God says if you’re ready, you’d pay attention fervently to these things!
