Did you notice what Jesus did?
“And Jesus answered and said UNTO IT, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it.” Mark 11:14
He spoke to the problem, and he taught us the same:
“…That whosoever shall say UNTO THIS mountain…” (Mark 11:23)
Speak to the issue, don’t be busy talking about the problem to every listening ear when you haven’t spoken TO IT! How ridiculous it would have been for the natural mind, that a man, because he didn’t see fruit on a tree, started talking to the tree! But the Bible tells us:
“But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God… neither can he know them….” 1 Corinthians 2:14
He would rather speak ABOUT trees and animals like King Solomon (1 Kings 4:33) rather than speak TO them, but thank God, the one who’s greater than Solomon (Matthew 12:42) gave us an example to follow. He spoke to deaf ears and dead men; it doesn’t get more serious than that! Emphasizing that speaking to the issue is the way; it works! Speak TO IT!
