What a wonderful time we had the word of God as Pastor enlightened us on the “Hope of His calling” (Ephesians 1:18), she emphasized that we were called by God and such a call came with an expectation- to obtain of the glory of our lord Jesus Christ as seen in 2 Thessalonians 2:14.
She expatiated this by explaining the term “glory” as “effulgence of beauty, excellence, greatness” that can be manifested in several ways, citing the example of how Jesus turned water to wine in the book of John and that miracle was recorded as a manifestation of his glory (John 2:11). Hence, being supernaturally provided for is a manifestation of glory.
Knowing we have been called into a life of glory, it is necessary for us to recognize and act likewise. According to Romans 8:30, we were predestinated firstly before we were called to obtain the glory of our Lord, meaning it is our destiny to walk in the glory of God.
Pastor emphasized on God’s faithfulness visible in 1 Corinthians 1:9, which meant no man would hold on to God’s word and be disappointed.
She concluded by pointing out to us that there is more to our lives than physical things, God called us to fellowship with his son Jesus and gave us his glory to enable us do so- that is a big deal!
