He said he”d never leave you nor forsake you and so he expects you to respond by living a life free of covetousness- what could you desire in others that is worth more than him?!
Instead of focusing on what others have, contemplate on the one who’s with you, who not only provides for you but shields you from what any man can do to you:
“Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.” Hebrews 13:5-6
Instead of coveting, why not ask?
“Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.”James 4:2
