“For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.”
Romans 8:19
Jesus, in talking about those that are yet to believe, said:
“Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.” Matthew 9:37-38
His focus was not on the unbelievers when it came to prayer but the laborers, he said the harvest is not the problem, he emphasized that it is truly plenteous- no denying it, but it is those to reap the harvest that are few!
Emphasizing what the word had said; unbelievers are ready, waiting and willing to receive salvation and there are many of them, they are just waiting for someone to come talk to them and because the laborers are few, not many people have been reached!
Jesus is the Lord of the harvest! He owns the harvest, they are his, he looked at them and said they are ready for harvesting, he is asking you to go- go and meet them, they are waiting for you.
“The woman then left her waterpot, and went her way into the city, and saith to the men, Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ? Then they went out of the city, and came unto him.” John 4:28-30
This is exemplified by the woman at the Samaritan well, one woman brought many in the city to Jesus after one meeting- few hours- with him; all along those in the city had been ready, just waiting for someone to come tell them and once the woman met them, they came in droves.
“And many of the Samaritans of that city believed on him for the saying of the woman, which testified, He told me all that ever I did.” John 4:39
They had not even met him yet!
Can you do more than that? Yes! Abandon yourself to the words of Jesus with all the confidence you have, he said:
The harvest TRULY is PLENTEOUS!
You are God’s laborer; you will tell them and they will come to Jesus in their tens, hundred and thousands because they have been eagerly waiting for you all this while! Now, go!!
