“He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church.”
1 Corinthians 14:4

You bless with your spirit when you speak in tongues- you improve your life and your experiences when you speak in tongues:
“Else when thou shalt bless with the spirit, how shall he that occupieth the room of the unlearned say Amen at thy giving of thanks, seeing he understandeth not what thou sayest?” 1 Corinthians 14:16
Blessings cause manifest unmerited favour, like Jacob experienced with his brother Esau after God blessed him:
“And he passed over before them, and bowed himself to the ground seven times, until he came near to his brother. And Esau ran to meet him, and embraced him, and fell on his neck, and kissed him: and they wept.” Genesis 33:3-4
Blessings cause productivity and accomplishments, at times via multiplication like we see in the case of the five loaves and two fishes that were multiplied and filled the hungry excessively, after they had been blessed by Jesus:
“And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, and brake, and gave the loaves to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.” Matthew 14:19
You can influence your experience daily, by walking in blessings and one way to do that is to bless with your spirit by speaking in other tongues.
