“He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church.”
1 Corinthians 14:4
The one who speaks in an unknown tongue edifies himself- he is the one who would build himself up, he is the one who would embolden himself, and he does this by speaking in other tongues.
God gives the resource for his edification and he goes ahead and edify himself by speaking in tongues- using the resource, edifying and emboldening himself is his responsibility.
You can decide today that you want to understand the word of God better, you want to have a greater scope of the things of God, and do something about your desires- by speaking in an unknown tongue!
Do God’s word, he didn’t say the one who cries and fasts would edify himself, if he did, then that’s exactly what you should do, but he is clear- the one who edifies himself is the one who speaks in an unknown tongue, in simpler terms- speaking in tongues can change your life. Do so often.
