“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
Romans 12:2

He gives us options- confirmation or transformation. This means anytime we are pressed to conform to this world, we should recognize that there is another option available- a transformation!
God doesn’t want you conforming to the world irrespective of the reason, he already made clear the end result would not be of him:
“For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.” 1 John 2:16
He is forever against the course, ideals and value-structures in the world:
“…friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.” James 4:4
Because they are propagated by the devil who only seeks to steal, kill and destroy:
“Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:” Ephesians 2:2, see also John 10:10.
And so he says before you give in to the pressure— there’s another option you should consider; a glorious transformation.
