“As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:”  1 Peter 1:14

The word of God tells us:
“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”  Romans 12:2
He says anytime you feel pressed to conform to this world- to think, speak, act or respond like the world, it is an indication that at that level, you are due for a mind renewal session with the word of God; It is a signal to you, that it is time for your transformation. If your mind was renewed and you had been transformed- functioning the way you should, then you would not have been moved in anyway or even observed the need to be conformed to the world.
So God gives you an option; anytime you feel like behaving like the world, as a Christian he says at the moment, there is something else you can do- you can change the way you think; when you begin to think differently through the word of God, you would not consider the challenges or pressures of the world.
The word transform means metamorphose, and he says you can do it by renewing your mind; changing the way you think. This means the abilities any Christian expresses is linked to what the Christian has come to accept as real through the word of God and has allowed to gain the dominion in his/her mind. If the Christian thinks nothing is impossible- then it will be so.
