“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
Romans 12:2
The Bible says:
“…whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.” James 4:4
The will of God is usually always far removed from the persuasions of the world, and it takes a renewed mind to realize that and walk accordingly.
So he says in the main verse, renew your mind so the will of God would become clear to you, you would understand what is the will of God in that situation and respond accordingly, irrespective of the noise and agitations from the world.
Because you have the word of God available to you, you can prove if it was God’s will to destroy a home, and by studying the word, you’d realize Jesus said:
“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” John 10:10
He is not the thief, in fact, he differentiates himself from the thief- he comes to give life, totally antithetical to what the thief gives. With that knowledge from God’s word, you can prove that it was not God’s will to destroy the home- an enemy did it and you can also prove what your response should be in resolving the situation- you pray, fast and cast out devils:
“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” James 4:7
Be a student of the word- renew your mind, transform your life.
