“And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.” 1 John 1:4
He tells us:
“But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.” 1John 1:7
Under different lights, people have different experiences. Under different lights an object would have different reflections! It is possible for two people to argue about the color of a particular object based on the color of light with which the object was viewed!
For two people to agree about an event or an item, one important criterion is that they observe that event or item under the same light.
God’s ways are not man’s ways! Meaning God understands situations differently from man, when he was being plotted against:
“The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,” Psalms 2:2
Unlike man that would cry or get angry and react as such, the Bible says:
“He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.” Psalms 2:4
He obviously views the situation differently. Can we see things like God does and as a result respond like him? Yes! He says we can walk (live our lives) in the light with which he walks (lives his life) and so see the way he does!
The word of God is the light with which he sees, and so no wonder he says:
“And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.” 1 John 1:4
