“And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.” 1 John 1:4
He gives us the reason for his epistle- his expectations of us after we have read his writing is that our joy may be full; that excitement that can not be hid, in it’s fullness it is spilled out for all to see. This means in the word of God is what you require for your joy to be full in (and irrespective of) any circumstance- in good times, joy! In more good times, joy!! because God already told us to count every point of our lives as joy! We would do that easily when we have read what the Apostle wrote in his epistle and as an extension when we give ourselves to fellowship with the word daily. If you were going for an interview and you have heard so much to make you perturbed, he says the word would give you joy- joy to the full! Don’t rush out to work- get your dose of fullness daily; fullness of joy!
