“Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.”
Mark 8:38 KJV
So what if you had been ashamed of him before and you see the main text? Well, God’s word comes to also correct you and cause you to walk in righteousness: 2 Timothy 3:16
He came not to judge or condemn but to transform your life: John 3:17, 12:47
After all, Peter denied Jesus three times and so it should have been over for a guy like that, yet Jesus did talk about him to at least one angel, and it wasn’t in shame and condemnation but in hope and exhilaration because he had ascended:
“But go your way, tell his disciples and Peter that he goeth before you into Galilee: there shall ye see him, as he said unto you.” Mark 16:7
Same Peter that denied him, began to preach him boldly even in the face of death. Acts 4:18-20. While you’re here on the earth, get excited at the prospects of making changes and getting better!
