“While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.”
2 Corinthians 4:18
The Bible says:
“Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.” Colossians 3:2
Do not set your affection on things that can be influenced by various factors; your affection should not be placed in money that can influenced by economic, security and human conditions, neither should it be placed in individuals that can change with said conditions, learn from Jesus:
“But Jesus did not commit himself unto them, because he knew all men, And needed not that any should testify of man: for he knew what was in man.” John 2:24-25
Set your affection on things above, and these things above are revealed to us in the word of God; set your affection on the word of God that cannot be influenced by any factor but instead is the most influential and can cause a change.
There is a promise for everything thing that can be seen:
“…for the things which are seen are temporal…”
They are subject to change, so wisdom would be placing your life, emotions and ambitions in the word of God that lives and abides forever.
“For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: But the word of the Lord endureth for ever…” 1 Peter 1:24-25
