“If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work.”
‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭2‬:‭21

The only other alternative to being useful to God is being useless to him, and that should not be you! The father always wants you productive:
“He cares for the branches connected to me by lifting and propping up the fruitless branches and pruning every fruitful branch to yield a greater harvest.” John‬ ‭15‬:‭2‬ ‭TPT‬‬
That’s how he fashioned you: Ephesians 2:10
And so never let any situation intimidate you into a state of uselessness, you are not living for yourself but for the Master:
“and that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.” ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5‬:‭15‬
And he said:
“If any man come to me, and hate not his… own life also, he cannot be my disciple. And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.” Luke‬ ‭14‬:‭26‬-‭27‬
Take up the cross. Fix your eyes on him, walk as he walked and live in God’s good pleasure.
